The Pontiac (just Turbo Racer on the packaging I think), a stylised version of a 1984 Pontiac Fiero, was the last car based model variation released in the Tonka Clutch Popper series, released 1985-87. These feature a different style button to the originals, that blends in a little more to the roof design, and different wheelbase. Motor and wheels remained the same, however the steel used in these is lighter, and more prone to rusting, where the original clutch poppers have a heavy and rust resistant/slow-rust steel. Also these (and other Turbo Racers) did not have decals/stickers, the racing detail is part of the paint job/direct print. Overall still a top-notch toy flywheel driven car, of a standard you’d be unlikely to find produced now, but compared to the original clutch poppers of almost a decade prior to these, they are inferior in terms of design style and materials.
